The first trial was accusing 22 Nazi criminals. 12 of the Nazi criminals were sentenced to death. The others had to spend life in jail. They all said that they were following the higher authorities commands. Sadley to the Nazi's, their highest ruler "Hitler" was dead before they could establish the trials. He committed scuicide in the last few days of the war. He was a great loss to the Germans when it came to the Nuremberg Trials.
